Hyzone Street-Work
Anne Marie McKinnon (Hyzone Senior Youth Worker), Stephen Morel and Allan McWilliams (Sessional staff) can be seen in and around Hamilton town centre working as the Street-Work team. We endeavour to use this time to meet and engage with young people, most importantly on their terms and in their space with the intention of hopefully building positive relationships and encouraging young people to actively participate in the work we do at Hyzone.
If you see us in the town feel free to come up and say hello and find out about Hyzone and what we do.
Sunday Night Drop-In
Hyzone Sunday night Drop-in is based within Hamilton Universal Connections. The Drop-In is about being chilled out and relaxed. All young people from 1st year at high school to 18 +years of age can come along and be part of the Hyzone experience
On the Sunday night Drop-In we provide pool tables, a computer suite with internet access, Xbox Connect, Wii and Play Station all of which can be viewed on the Giant screen for interactive gaming. There is a 3D TV room with relaxation chairs adding to the viewing experience. There is also lots of space in the main hall where you can find space to relax. All these opportunities enable young people to come together in a welcoming environment with friendly staff and volunteers
